Every time I go to the coastal area of Cambodia, I always notice that Cambodia citizen doesn’t really consider much about ocean pollution. They would say that there’s emptiness in the ocean and we don’t have to worry about it.
This is the real problem;
Let imagine comparing an ocean with a deforestation photo.
We all would be concerning more about the deforestation photo, yet Cambodia ocean seagrass bed are suffering and why did we not know about that? This is because the ocean is just a wide open area and we don’t know what’s happening down there.
This past 8 weeks I have been involving in an exploration called “Travelling Marine Theatre”. By joining in this exploration, I have stepped out of my comfort zone and try a whole new exhilarating experience in my life. During this exploration, I have tried out and learn so many new things like snorkeling down into the ocean, learn all about this amazing marine life, and another whole new thing that I have ever tired out is acting. The biggest part of the exploration is we created a play to share with people who live down there in the coastal area province which is Kep. The play is about plastic pollution because nowadays at Kep beach the water isn’t that clean anymore due to the plastic problem. I was an actor and I learn so many new experiences by being an actor. I was taught to understand how to speak clearly like projecting my voice to the audience, expressing my emotion without holding the script in my hand, and self-confident.
