Outdoor Leadership | Exploration

This round for my exploration, I was selected to join an exploration called “Outdoor Leadership” which is an exploration that we go off into different of nature site to be a natural leader and trek into the wood. By this exploration, I have gone to so many new places, found so many cool birds, try out so many different types of food and learn how to survive while traveling in the forest. At the end of the exploration,  I was required to write a journal about my whole experience by joining in the exploration and here it is:

The essence of nature have changed and craft the new part of me precisely since the start of the exploration. I have discovered that I am more the person that feels gently living in nature. I became to have a closer bond with every nature place I  have stepped into. I understand nature is more than what you see every day, it’s the thing that is everywhere in the cosmos. I became more mature and thinking about having different unconventional of people in life. I am one of the types of person that prefers to only work with people that have a closer friendship with me, but this exploration has changed my point of view. I have realized that every friend is part of a family to me, no matter you have a bad past with them but just give them the respect and love you have.

I feel like to be an outdoor leader you don’t have to show everyone that you are an excellent leader. I like to be quiet when I do a thing, I like to be humble and showing my leader skill when everyone can’t see it immediately. What I do to be an outdoor leader is every time I step into a natural place, I appreciate what nature gives to me and I am thankful for what nature give to me and trying to take care of everything surrounding me.

In Cambodia, most people only do convenience stuff when it comes to adventure time. They would rather ride their transportation to the place and eat the delicious delicacy food then come back. I feel that this is not a thing we should do in life. We all understand that using transportation is convenience but I think actually trekking and hiking is better than the comfort thing. When you trek and hike you can see all those nature surrounding you plus nowadays you have all this smartphone, so you can’t really enjoy the environment enclosing you. In the future, I want to share I have learned in this exploration to people everywhere not only Cambodian but around the world to know that adventure is fun, try to trek and hike and be grateful for all the innocent nature because you never know what will occur to it in the future. Also, another big serious problem in Cambodia is when there is an accident like a car crash the people in the situation would just stand and holding their phone to take the victim photo for social media. You know what, in a second you can bring someone life back. In the exploration, I learned about the medical scenario, I understood that no matter which people that are lying in front of you with their eyes shut and no breathing, you have to help them immediately. I hope when I go back to my province when there’s an accident happen I would not scare of blood when I help people and try to teach everyone what I have learned about medical emergency lesson because that will help to bring back someone life and it is the kindest thing you will have ever done in life.
